That really tells us nothing about this guy. After all, I edited an underground newspaper when I was a senior in high school.
That fact is something that, by definition, is something that has to be self-disclosed, and if it’s to the degree that it is being listed in a Chyron sidebar, well, he must be awfully proud of it.
Yeah, I’m proud of my underground newspaper too, but I don’t list it in my Vita.
Thanks to Deadspin for the 30fps praise this morning.
I tend to keep MSNBC on all day while I do other things, and it’s usually muted. So when I glance at it and see this, my imagination runs wild with the possibilities of what they could possibly be discussing:
I’m sick of seeing shitty Fiesta Bowl screencaps of Cowbell Girl and otherwise. Get the good ones at 30fps.mocksession.com. That is all.
So MSNBC runs this stupid fake live shot from “North Pole, Alaska” and a package about elves and technology. This, of course, while Congress debates how best to give our tax dollars to the insurance industry, et cetera. Worse yet, the whole thing was a rerun from earlier on the Today show:

So I fire off this quick missive to the anchor behind the desk at the time:

And this response comes during the next commercial break:

twitter is awesome.
Since like five people have asked me about this, and that’s a considerable amount given the size of the circles I run in these days… this commercial…
Her name is Annie Little. By that I mean, “her.” As in, the song is by her, and the singer is her, and the actress is her.
Also, she was one of the hot stewardesses in the Season Three premiere of Mad Men… if you needed a reason to like her (assuming you don’t like the Kindle commercial, or just hate the Kindle and the concept of e-Books).
So in the midst of last night’s ALCS game, the Wikipedia article on Tim McClelland offered readers a live commentary on his actions, or inactions, during that game. I have analyzed the edits and presented them to you, in order.
It started with an innocent word.

It was followed by a subtle, but meaningful edit…

…and an even more subtle one.

Finally, an editor decided that it was time to explain these personal descriptions.

Mind you, these are all happening over the course of several minutes. White knights came to the rescue with reverts, but they couldn’t keep factoids like this from sneaking in:

Suddenly, there was commentary being added to the commentary:

White knights removed the blindness, but couldn’t stop the idiocy:

…or more things I’m amazed I didn’t know about Tim McClelland:

The last edit before the article was protected by Wikipedia administrators is priceless.

So there you go! It’s amazing he’s managed to make it as far as he has as an umpire despite being a blind, drunken idiot.
Alex Rodriguez groping Derek Jeter. Pat Sajak making a trollface.
ALL THAT AT MORE at 30fps!
